In today's Pope Center piece, Jenna Robinson writes about the unintended consequences of that thick report on family finances you've got to fill out if you want federal student aid money, FAFSA. The information facilities price discrimination by college officials -- charging more to families they perceive as less price conscious than they do other families. Price discrimination is not unique to colleges, but FAFSA information helps them practice it more effectively than other businesses can.
