Universities ought to stand up for freedom of speech and robust debate; they should not teach that the way to respond to views you disagree with is to try to silence those who express them. With its shameful disinvation to Ayaan Hirsi Ali at the behest of Islamicists who can't tolerate it that she doesn't think that Islam is a religion of peace, Brandeis has reinforced a bad trend in American education.
